Derek Salisbury is a career firefighter, paramedic, and hazardous materials technician whose team works closely dealing with clandestine labs in B.C. His companies, Firemedix and Firestorm, teach B.C. firefighters and entry level paramedics. Derek is the official first aid trainer for the Vancouver Canucks and is author of a first aid program for Cavalia Odysseo and the B.C. Provincial Football Association.

This engaging session explores the realities of unexpected situations that can arise in dental practice – from unusual patient presentations to emergencies you may not have been trained for. With his comprehensive background and wide experience in emergency training for first responders and professional sports teams, Derek brings real-world experience to the dental setting. He will share practical strategies to help dental teams stay calm, confident, and prepared when faced with the unexpected.
